A real review I can not afford here. I do not want to list the technical data. I explain briefly why I switched from the 50D to 6D, what were my reasons why and I think it might be interesting for others ... Important: my reasons are, of course, extremely adapted to my user behavior (I use the camera only in Raw mode, and mainly in the Tv / Av / M mode - all other "gimmicks" I care less), who expects a precisely Aufdröselung all new features compared to competitors, here is actually wrong.
Full-frame sensor. For which there are endless posts everywhere. The sensor is larger, the lenses are more expensive. Visually, it makes a difference. I can not possibly answer exhaustively here.
For me only came the full-frame sensor for better performance in low light in question:
There is no alternative: the larger sensor collects more light. The page DxOMark has published an interesting test in which they examined the noise (in low light) of the entire sensor (you can click different cameras in a comparison and the signal / noise ratio watch). Attention here catch controversial discussion period usually to: The megapixel are not that crucial (for the total noise). At the end of the day first of all collect the sensor light. What is not collected can not be evaluated (such as a bowl in the rain collects more rain, if it has a larger area). More megapixels divide the "bowl" into smaller compartments. Looking at one of these pixels, so this is certainly more noise than one pixel, the (the set he has gotten less "process water" and needs in relation to its measurement error) a larger area covered. Judging but believes that the best image is not printed in full resolution, there is an interesting conclusion:
The noise (specifically, S / N ratio) in low light depends (almost) only on the sensor surface. Whether Nikon or Canon. Whether 50D, 60D, 70D, 5D-2, 5D3 broadly counts primarily the light collecting area (of course there are plus advances in signal processing).
Conclusion: For me "enough" the smallest "big" Canon completely and she made a really big jump in the low light performance compared to the 50D.
Other points:
Central autofocus sensor: This is extremely sensitive to light (the other sensors are good rather little). What good is it that you would have had a good picture, but the focus is not correct?
Mode switch: how many times my 50D of "Av" to "TV" and so has adjusted in the camera bag. This Canon has finally solved - super!
Battery: has built intelligence. This has advantages and disadvantages. Replicas are more expensive, but you can better estimate the camera how much juice is still in the system. For me, two replica batteries are working properly (see my reviews there).
Also nice: you can already evaluate images in the field. This is awesome if you are traveling with Models. The images mark is taken even after the import into Lightroom and saves a the piece of paper on which he had noted down the best shots ...
Negative: the display is not hinged and no touch.
Sequence: The camera is not designed for sporting events. The image sequence is clearly too slow for it (see the technical data at the device profile). Help fast cards for the camera "stops" not to save (more precisely [Thanks for the comment Florian]:. The camera fills its buffer and simultaneously starts writing to the card If the card is too slow, may be in "continuous fire mode "[and" RAW "] buffer fill faster than the camera can wegspeichern and you stand there in the worst cases, waiting a few seconds until it goes on you 6D writes in the order 40-45MB / s -. have faster cards no" accelerating "effect).
SDHC card: advantage or disadvantage: you get used to it. I find them "verlieranfälliger" as CompactFlash
Tips:
The camera stores the choice of the focal point depending on how they are kept. This is not an error - can be switched off.
The camera is compatible with the software "DSLR" controllers running Android. So you can remotely via USB who (until LiveView) - provided that the Android device has a "USB Host" mode features.
GPS off, unless you really need it, because the system is active when the camera is active off at the main switch and slowly eats the battery empty.
At The End:
Product evaluation are not rewarding hobby.
The only motivation is, the positive reviews (or constructive reviews) at the end of the month.
