The packaging of ... Ozzy makes almost the impression that there would be a higher-quality device.
Content ... is that Ozzy himself, a data cable, a charging plug, a stereo headset of normal quality and some paper with warranty terms etc.
The Stereo Headset ... It is as always ... who sets great store by music, should get a higher-quality replacement headphone quickly.
To Ozzy himself ... I would like to say here that I have deliberately chosen the entry-level model. Firstly, due to the price-performance ratio which has developed very well heard by the description here.
The feel and design ... I find very pleasant. It works stably. But I have to give the other review writers law by claiming the capers buttons. Worst of all, it is in the On / Off button which almost gives the impression as if they would adopt someday. But that's about the only thing that bothers me about the device somewhat. Otherwise the little Ozzy acts duschaus processed stable and can convince as opposed to some other price comrades with Gorilla Glass and front camera.
Camera 2 Megapixel rear ... which to my surprise actually is sufficient to scan packages or to install via QR code apps, etc. The front camera with VGA on triggers. Enough for Skype video calls from but nothing special. At dusk you should better not try to take photos but there is just right cameras. Also makes more fun. But etc to present every now and then a photo to a friend via WhatsApp the new sofa are not a problem :)
Device software ... some apps are pre-installed fixed (but you can easily rooting the device and then remove the offending apps / Search framaroot). Otherwise, here is a nearly pure Android 4.2.2 (JellyBean) is used which also runs smoothly. However, the pre-loaded launcher can not represent each widget properly, I have for this reason the Nova Launcher in use. The works on the Ozzy outstanding. The Ozzy has a dual core 1GHz processor and 512MB of RAM per core. These are certainly not top values, but it comes as a normal user very well so clear.
The Dualsimfunktion .. runs perfectly and is easy to configure. It can be assigned to individual contacts to specific SIM cards and SIM card per a separate ring tone can be selected. What surprised me most, however, is the good battery life. I have not yet managed to get empty in a day the battery (and the first few days I have almost continuously been playing around on the Ozzy and tested). With moderate use should not be a problem for 3 days.
Reception / WLAN / telephony ... the reception is definitely better than my iPhone. Also the wifi reception is normal. Done in my house super serving. The communication worked well on both sides, but the caller will hear from himself and somewhat dull on what was not disturbing and can also be located on the network used.
The GPS Fix ... performed even indoor very quickly (partly under 30 seconds). Here I have for example the Motorola Motosmart have to wait up to 3 minutes until the satellite were found. There is also the possibility of A-GPS (Satelitenstandorte be preloaded via network connection from the Internet. A-GPS and GPS can also be disabled.
The display ... well as written you would expect not Samsung or Apple superclass display here. But the display is perfectly fine for the price range of Wikos.
Only I would like to say that the sensor is responsible for turning on / off the display, not correct "adjusted" was at the factory. when I finish a conversation and take the Ozzy from his ear, I expect actually that the display then switches on again. Sometimes you have but a few seconds warteb until the display on or off. This should hopefully get a software update that fixes this little mistake.
Conclusion .... as a beginner or a secondary device I can only recommend this device. The support of Wiko quickly reacts (eg on Facebook) and tries to find an answer to questions. With the larger Wiko devices already existed one or the other device software update. Man so it seems to take seriously with the entry into the very demanding German market at Wiko
Should you have any questions about the device, just ask her by using the comment function here in the review. I try then to answer all possible.
EDIT. On 11/29/13 my Ozzy could no longer turn from one moment to the other. New delivery has arrived at 4:12:13 and what can I say ... This what I got there is again a completely different Wiko Ozzy. It seems to me now as I have previously received a beta test model. The Ozzy what I now get first of all has a logo on the side of the display (Had not the old), the logo on the back is also completely different. The display glass appear much more stable than the old with the new model. The problems with the light sensor, there is no longer to the extent the new. And last but not least no longer rattle the buttons too. Game is here still present but not so that it sucks or is ever conspicuous.
Conclusion ... So it really seems 2 batches with different processing to give.
