after a moment's thought, it was probably about 5 minutes, I dared and the Nokia Lumia 520 as a 2nd phone bought with Windows Phone. 8
I initially had my doubts about whether this was really a good decision, but can now say that I expected worse and
it ultimately has not yet repent.
My main instrument is an iPhone 5 and I am now a firm 100% Mac users and was surprised by that I Windows (Phone) 8 another chance
have given. Because of Windows 8 on the desktop, I think not much. My netbook with Windows 8, I have after 2 months sold frustrated and it bought a used Macbook.
But by now to get to the point. Before that I had as a 2nd phone Nexus 4 with Android. After 4 months now that I had had enough of Android.
It was too cluttered. Inconsistently implemented. The apps were partially correct poorly programmed or simply ported from iOS only.
2. An iPhone was too expensive, so a lot of my choice also of interest to this affordable Nokia Lumia phone:
I will divide the individual attributes of each mobile phones from my perspective in positive and negative aspects:
1. Positive aspects
-The unbeatable price of 152 Euro
-An excellent build quality
-knallige beautiful colors, I like happens to red and not black / white monotony (arg is subjective but what should it)
-rudimentäre camera, but better than the camera of the Nexus 4, that is because you can not complain at the price
-austauschbarer battery and Micro SD card slot (for me not the reason to buy such, but nice if you have the option to do so)
-IPS LCD Blidschirm stated better than in many tests and in my opinion, equivalent to the Nexus 4 (except the resolution)
-The pre-installed Nokia apps that really represent a significant added value, above all, Nokia Express and Hereford Maps
-Windows Phone 8 really a benefit in my eyes. Few Apps for well programmed. The reduced, clear design. Stable and resource-efficient operating system. Since I was used to from Android completely different, despite Quad-Core CPU.
2. Negative aspects (some of which are visible under strong reservation, considering the price look at)
-the size of app stores and the absence of some important applications, which sometimes just hurts
as examples here: Youtube FLV, Dropbox Apps Games in general. Hardly selection nonexistent up.
-A lack of front camera
-The law "weak" battery. It will simply no longer than to have a maximum of one day and the games played without.
-the resolution could then be something higher (at the price can not be avoided but bearable or)
-only Bluetooth 3.0
but -the largest in my eyes shortcoming is the built front glass which apparently does not have grease-resistant coating, damn smeared quickly and has not so smooth gliding like other smartphone front panels.
Conclusion:
Nokia can still build good mobile phones and smartphones as good.
The Nokia Lumia 520 is low priced and processed with value and owns an operating system that acts pleasing modern and minimalist.
So is everyone so happy?
If like me you're looking for a cheap 2nd phone or generally looking for a cell phone, the basic smartphone functions such as Internet / navigation / music playback controls well, then I can emphatically say yes, the Nokia Lumia 520 is the right choice.
If you want to it, however, be used as a mobile game console, ambitious camera replacement up to the laptop spare, then I advise the 1st case to an iPhone, mainly because of the app stores and the games offer and in the other two cases to the larger Nokia Lumia models like the Lumia 720 or the Lumia 920, which, although more than twice the cost but also better equipped accordingly.
Thus, even Microsoft will surprise and inspire, provided you are open to new a seasoned Mac users ...
