As the difficulties in mounting in the reviews seem to be the main theme here, I'll devote myself to only the assembly.
The Installation instructions that came with is, in German and absolutely understandable. Since I do not want to repeat the instructions here, I'll describe shortly, how I did it.
- Take a little time ... ;-) and peace, because the first attempt is crucial. Of course you can arrange the film again and wash etc. but better it is sure to achieve the best possible result at first attempt.
- I have the floor around me before again well wiped to minimize the dust in the environment. Sure you can do it at the table, but I'm such Frickelarbeiten rather on the ground ...
- My phone was still brand new, which means that the screen protector with the imprint Galaxy .... was it, that is a guarantee for an absolutely dust-free display, ensure dust-free as after cleaning and drying with microfibre cloth, as optionally again lint leaves, or by friction again attracts more dust from the room air. Who no longer has this original film it, it can certainly also with a wider adhesive tape strips quasi "Mask" and so remove any dust particles.
- I started at the top, and there left a tiny gap, perhaps half a mm, then the notches fit exactly.
- The protective film can be removed very well thanks to flap, a debit card or driver's license ... help you create, so that there are no air bubbles.
- If you - like me - afterwards but see a disturbing dust particles, then the film can be easily removed again by sticking an adhesive tape to the edge of the area and with the help of this adhesive tape strip lifts the film. The speck of dust, I then removed with a small strip of adhesive tape, as I have briefly stuck him from behind on the film, to the point where the dust particles was. I did that in two places - however, there is the danger that you do so again captures new speck of dust - it hovers just yet so all kinds in the air ...
- I've done it in this way to remove any dust particles in the display area, and the air bubbles in the field of view I can remove with map by repeatedly pulling off using the Tesa film and re-smoothing. In the lateral area and the top I have a few bubbles and tiny dust inclusions, but they are not in the display area, and I decided not herumzumanipulieren it so as not to have a worse outcome at the end. You can also shut down a few perfectionism ...
- Should find one now that the recesses of camera, menu button, etc. The stamped foil still darinhängt, you can withdraw this excess also here with a strip of adhesive tape.
QUALITY:
- I've already repeatedly bonded antistatic films on various mobile phones and cameras, also products from other manufacturers.
Since I have a black and a white Galaxy, I could parallel compare products from two manufacturers together here.
- With none of them I managed an absolutely bubble-free installation, but as I said - only in not interfering edges.
- Even the speck of dust problem you will have in each of these films, and I found that you could pull this off even the best again.
- When mumbi film the camera eyes are up left out - in the other product not.
- The thickness of the film: it is thick enough to protect, but not too thick. As a result, the touch screen behavior does not change, I can not say about the other product. Also, the feeling is much closer to that of glass.
- The response of the touch screen is not be harmful, either during tapping of menu items, even when writing or playing Angry Birds ... ;-)
I also have the Swype - tested function, and it is working properly, the fingers may very well without faltering slide across the screen.
- The display is shown very colorfast, the brilliance of the Galaxy - not changed displays. Of course, it reflects a little, but for customers who want to prevent this, there are of mumbi also an anti-reflective film. This is a matter of taste and a question of priorities of each individual.
- Slight traces of grease slightly greasy fingers there for both of my films, but these can be easily removed with a breathing on and wipe on the blouse or the T-shirt.
OPTICS:
- The Galaxy looks properly, the film reduces the impression not.
- Images are displayed color-fast and brilliant, not diminished the brilliance of AMOLED displays.
- Writing is crisp and very legible. The contrasts are given.
CONCLUSION:
for me the best film, except for the small dust particles and air bubbles in the border area, which I do in the other film did well, there is nothing to complain about. The Frickelei during installation will be rewarded with a good function and quality.
