Within the possibilities a good device on the go, though not a high flyer

The reflection DVD1012 I had a week while attending a extramural, vocational training in use. Whether the small antenna turned a first skeptical whether I (where my training took place) would have TV reception the middle of nowhere. Lo and behold, the image was black. Either you should try here with a larger or better antenna or do not want to look in the most remote corners of Germany with the unit TV. However, my main focus was on playing DVDs and digital media on the go. And here the device has convinced. DVDs can be played absolutely smoothly and fairly quiet. The sound is naturally a bit tinny, for such a handy device that is but my opinion ok. On an SD card I had a season of a reality show here in AVI format. My Guilty Pleasure was played without difficulty. Surprisingly, when the video file, the sound was even better than the DVD playback. The picture is obviously not HD, but (25.4 cm diameter) appears satisfactory on the 10-inch LCD screen. And depending on how you do it to go comfortably, the screen is also not so small.

The device itself looks quite wertig although piano lacquer on the surface would not necessarily have to be. The screen sits fairly firmly in the saddle and can be rotated 180 degrees to the left. The somewhat shaky DVD flap can be opened with a snapper. On the device itself are still all the necessary keys to play the media, to switch the other, alternative sources and for volume control. All this can alternatively be adjusted via the small and thin, the included remote control. This reacts a little sluggish, but once you get used to it, it is not dramatic. During DVD playback, the battery lasted about two hours - alternatively the device can also be connected via charging cable to the socket and currently being used. However, the charging cable could be a little longer. The charging time takes about 2-3 hours.

Connecting to the device, you can, among other headphones, SD card and a USB flash drive, and of course the antenna. Play DVD / DVD-R / DVD-RW / SVCD / VCD / CD / Picture CD. The following formats can the device: WMA, JPEG, MPEG 4, AVI, MP3 (further it is necessary to test).

Further, the device has a video display, you can zoom the screen and display both PAL and NTSC. A fairly clear guidance is given in German and English. The most important functions will be explained in brief. A bag for traveling to stow the unit is not in the way.

CONCLUSION: When television reception (at least with the enclosed antenna), there may be difficulties. DVDs and other video formats to be played perfectly, as well as video and music files. The battery does not last forever, but the device can be used while charging. The inputs respond a little sluggish, but on the way one is a little more relaxed than at home and probably at all happy to have technical connection. It's just a delightful little device. If the expectations are not too high, you may already be satisfied with the device.
