I had the opportunity to try in this range of Bosch appliances "PDO6" (simple and relatively reliable), "PMD10" and "GMS120" recently acquired (very similar models, which add search "wooden" but more complicated in the interpretation of the indications, see comments of each ref.). I took advantage of an offer reconditioned interesting to complete my equipment the SKIL which I discovered after my purchase critical "rave" in relation to Bosch GMS120 (there are eg. YouTube video of two comparative models succinct but I confirm now concluded) and thus remove the doubt (nagging me since :)) to have as reliable indications that possible.Et paradoxically, although using the same technology as its clone Bosch "PDO Multi" (more distributed by Bosch under its own brand) as did the Skil 015 AA 0551 is a clone of PDO6, it is clear more convincing performance for the Skil who benefits from better metal detection sensitivity and electrical cable (despite lower depth in performance ???) and reacts "frankly" where the "pro" GMS120 does not do much or less. For the detection of wood in my case beams under 10 / 20mm plaster, neither one nor the other have allowed me to identify reliably ... In use I regret at Skil, a visual presentation of particulars less "successful", the lack of convenient backlight and skids into unsustainable felt. In conclusion the Skil is not immune to problems associated with this type of devices, not always as reliable indications that would have us believe the manufacturers in their "ideal" demonstration videos (environmental problem, static electricity , humidity, etc ...) but is under my experiences trying the best compromise. Bosch was without doubt his most private performance detector "general public" for obscure commercial reasons, Marketing autres..au favor of his (wiser!) Competitor Skil ... :)
