Now that my pixels per RW-221 / E3 briefly right after Christmas
was delivered (appointed on 22.12.2011; delivered on 27.12.2011), I have to direct
made the testing of radio trigger. The delivery includes: a) a remote control,
b) a radio receiver, c) a connecting cable for the camera (in my case, the Canon
EOS 1000D) and d) 2 pair of AAA batteries.
II. Structure of components
First, of course, all the ingredients were visually inspected for defects. Fortunately,
proves the pixels per RW-221 / E3 as solid processed device.
The a) remote control
is made of solid hard plastic. On it are the 2-stage remote release button, the set-
ment bolt, an optical light and the battery compartment located on the back.
Furthermore, they know to a small opening through which you can attach a strap,
which can be useful well, so as not to lose or to hang around the neck.
If you open the battery compartment, so you can see 5 small slider to set the radio channel.
The b) radio receiver is also made of solid hard plastic and makes a very good
processed impression. On it are a on / off switch, a shutter button, a visual
Light and a battery compartment and a thread / area, which is mounted on a hot shoe
can be to place the receiver directly on the camera. On the side located
Furthermore, the opening to connect the recipient through the connecting cable to the camera.
The c) connection cable has gold-plated jack plug.
III. Mounting
First, the batteries were accordingly incorporated into the individual components. Afterwards
I set both on the radio receiver and on the remote control to the same radio channel
and the receiver pushed to the hot shoe of the camera. This unlocked this, however,
the receiver has a wheel which can be adjusted and the pressure accordingly
changed. This prevents the receiver sits absolutely firmly slip. Then simply was the connecting cable
connected to the radio receiver and the camera. About the on / off the receiver was then
simple activated.
The remote control has no on / off switch and is therefore directly ready to trigger the images.
IV. Test run
The device was placed in a room and initially operated successfully from all angles. Arrival
closing, I have removed about 25 meters. No Problem. Now I have closed the first door.
Not a problem. Then the second door was closed. Also there is no problem. All Images
have been successfully taken.
All the modes of the remote control have been tested at the end: 1) Single Shot 2.) Continuous Shooting
3.) BULB and 4) time delayed tripping.
The 1) Single Shot trigger to let through a simple press. Pressing initially only halfway,
so is focused, which is indicated by a green light on the receiver and remote control. In transit
press the shutter button, the photo will be taken, which is indicated by a red glow.
The 2) continuous shooting also proves easy as absolute. Man holding the shutter button easy
and there are consistently taken photos.
On 3rd) BULB mode first camera to the appropriate mode must be set. If this is done,
just press the shutter button and the camera starts recording. If you want to exit this operated,
to the shutter button again.
The 4th) time delayed tripping is also a breeze. Pressing the shutter button one has about 5
Seconds to eg itself nor to come to the group photo, as long as you supply no remote control
want or put away.
V. Conclusion
I could personally for lack of time now not to test the maximum distance. Completed all program tests
exclusively in closed premises. But I go because of the solid performance from them,
that the distance limit can be met by a maximum specified 100m depending on the circumstances. The
Furthermore, I could find no error in the processing or functioning. An illustrated
Although short instruction included (English / Japanese), but is due to the self-explanatory operation
superfluous and therefore not a disadvantage that it is not written in German (which for one or another
may possibly have a disadvantage).
The pixels per RW-221 / E3 does what it is supposed for a fair price with no ifs and buts! So I can only recommend it.
Also the shipment by pulse photo was impeccable! Many Thanks.
