Melancholic Seeming play the gypsy across the album, "Electronic-Soft Rock with Chill character", called such a thing. Thus the guys nowadays ranks the ranks of Empire Of The Sun, Bag Raider and Hurts, which I would describe this album as the wertigere. EOTS, BR and Hurts make high quality music, no question; but Gypsy & The Cat sting because of the timbre and the unusual style more out of the ground and the current uniformity.
Surpassed Gypsy & The Cat but deutlichst of Hugh Laurie (Let Them Talk) (Dr. House - completely different genre). Adele (21) and Frida Gold (Jewel) Order currently under Gypsy & The Cat and before EOTS squad, where the comparison limps a little. So be it. All these albums I find enrichment in the "David-Guetta-feat.-Pitbull - & - Jennifer Lopez Together With Usher And-Jason Derülo-mud".
My subjective opinion on this album: put on headphones, pour good wine and enjoy twice.
Playing tips:
- Time To Wonder
- Jona Vark
- Gilgamash
- Human Desire
So much for musicality. Now comes the technical part.
How can it high modern times in audio technology still be possible that CDs sound like a sledgehammer to the chest? Human Desire sounds musically interesting but by the Soundquetsche it expresses more than the intended mood. The Piper's Song is (on the same album!) A good example of that is doing better, but unfortunately not without. Dynamic Processors nowadays are not indispensable, but you must not overdo it. Away with the pimply interns from the mastering console!
Conclusion:
Technically rather weak convinced me the album yet across the board, to which it was worth waiting. With so wonderful mini-epics Gilgamesh is full of small masterpieces of lost beauty and elegiac romanticism (revised quote of SWR3). I agree with without exception. Well suited for chilling and cruising!
