This adapter HDMI> VGA works well, but only when a monitor is connected (and on) on its VGA output, otherwise the adapter automatically switches to standby. This is handy for those who want to use the video, but can not use it to make the HDMI> Audio only. Personally I wanted to use it only for audio Chromecast between a key and my stereo, and not possible.
