The Konfiguratiosnprogramm requires a bare network configuration on the computer - for me it was so only on an old XP laptop. With my Windows 7 computer I could not connect to the adapter. I can not make any statement, whether it is a Windows 7 problem with the software or just my network configuration on my computer is not "clean" was enough. (But I suppose it was the Netzerkonfig)
When coax cabling you have to watch so far that a splinter and poorly shielded cables can interfere with the quality of the connection.
In my case, it was so that I wanted to stream HD video with the PS3 (on two floors) and the TV already got a bad signal.
After I had a slightly better Splitter and two better 4-way shielded coax taken it worked flawlessly.
Digital television and the network connection with the PS3 functioned properly.
If a coax cabling is available in the house you have safe with this technique, the nose towards the Powerline front. The probability is through the shielded cable simply greater that the connection is correct (even over long distances)
I hope this information will help you further ...
