I had ordered my repeater cable for my UMTS stick, in the hope that I could thus bridging the one or the other, long distance between notebook and window. Often this rich common USB extensions not made, or provide only a bad signal. Unfortunately, my hopes were disappointed. When unpacking it is noticeable that there may be no really attractive wooden cable. First of all, the rubber jacket smells disgusting - and significantly more troublesome than in "normal" cables. When Enstecken the sticks then fell apart the same time the connector housing. While leaving the squeezing again, but not stable still affects the whole. The function of the cable itself is flawed. While both recognize my computer that a USB device is plugged in, Windows XP reports but that it could not be recognized properly. As I said at two different computers occurs the same phenomenon! Thus, the cable is de facto useless and an absolute bad buy. Not here in any case - as you can read, it seems to work perfectly with the other. I can explain it only by fluctuations in quality during production. I am now in any case on a "perfectly ordinary", but switched to really high quality USB extension cable from the house Clicktronic. Although this is somewhat shorter and has no repeater function, but does what it should: it prolongs the route to UMTS stick without signal loss.
