The problem occurs on my D7000 on if you want to make a remote tripping + mirror lockup. Apparently, the transmitter sends two signals, since not only the mirror lock-up but also at the same time the image is triggered. Very ärgelich but apparently not an isolated case as one can read on the net.
Two stars, there are still about me, otherwise the remote control will work with no problem. So if you do not need the mirror lockup can be happy here.
