- Safe mechanism: the insert is constructed so that the two socket holes will be released only when a plug in the order "Fix" -> "parallel pushing" -> "impressions" is inserted. A frequent criticism of this product is that it falls apart "often" and therefore was scrap. When my supply a total of 40 pieces only 2 pieces have fallen apart. With a little technical skill and understanding are the 4 items but assembled quickly. Who is hereby already overwhelmed, should better leave the installation probably an electrician!
Speaking of installation: The following procedure worked for me the installation of the socket protection easily and in less than 2 minutes per outlet:
1. outlets normally do (backup trigger on or off)
2. Loosen the screw of the electrical outlet, then complete socket insert out of the ordinary
Press 3. Apply Steckdosenschutz on Steckdoseneinsatz and with two fingers at the two notched "Spreitzer devices" (located in the center left and right on protection use) parallel along the two grooves in the socket insert until it stops
4. Remove the socket insert incl. Pressed-socket protection and on the lower metal grounding spring of the metal insert schedule (ie Steckdoseneinsatz "sits" down on the ground spring and is "up" slightly forward / outside tilted)
5. Now the Steckdosenschutz pressing firmly with both thumbs in the socket insert that is held with both goat / middle fingers; at the same time slightly press the lower ground spring with the socket insert down and the entire "package" in a horizontal rotary movement with the "top" backward / tilt inward, so that the upper ground spring is overcome. Important: If the "overcoming" of the ground springs of Steckdosenschutz pressed firmly against the socket insert this also does not fall apart.
6. Screw the socket with "feeling" put. Because in contrast to hard thermoset the socket insert consists of Steckdosenschutz only "soft" Thermoplastic (total thickness about 3.5 mm), is "squashed" when at fixed tightening the socket protection and no longer functioning properly (remains "hanging" when unplugging it).
Simply check after tightening the screw briefly the outlet protection with a plug on Leichgängigkeit / functionality and if necessary loosen the screw with a 1/4 to 1/2 turn.
Finally, I have to say that the protection is working properly if mounted correctly and in my opinion rightly deserves in terms of functionality, security and price 5 Stars.
