I use the DPR-1020 to a Brother DCP-7030 to connect scanners / printers on the network. For the unit works great. Decor was pretty simple and IP is also correct relative (router is, however, also D-Link).
Can be printed then as any other network printer. To scan to the respective computer must connect using the supplied software and quasi emulate a USB Verbinung. The device is detected then connected as USB. So can connect to only one client, so only one scan and as long as a client is connected, you can also, I do not print.
For a small network that is for me Allerding absolutely fine and met all my needs quite perfectly: always easy to print from all computers and can not reposition the cable scan.
