I was looking for an inexpensive, external Blu-Ray drive and I came across this product. Need Blu-ray only look for movies, so was enough for me at the Blu-Ray drive, a read function - is not a Blu-Ray burner. The drive is working properly with my Mac Mini Late 2009 under Snow Leopard.

Was installed in me the following drive: HP BD ROM BC-5550H, according to the description but it should be an LG CT30F drive. Treasures of the seller screwed the drives themselves in the external housing and simply installed always the cheapest available drives. Function does the built-in my hp drive at least properly.

Advantages of the drive:

- Small
- Low
- Robust housing made of plastic - ideal for taking
- No external power supply needed
- Is only slightly warm during operation
- Mac compatible

Disadvantages of the drive:

- Volume - see clearly audible in Blu-Ray
- USB cable that comes very, very short
- Drive has 2 USB connector - it's a data-USB cable and a power-USB cable included
- Another drive installed as in the description!

Overall, I forgive therefore 3 stars - for the price the drive is actually quite okay. Annoying for me, however, is the volume - you can hear the drive significantly in quiet scenes in Blu-Ray movies. I prefer a star yet from addition, since another drive in the external enclosure was installed as was stated in the description.
