As owner of a Canon EOS 350D SLR, I sought a second device that allows me to film and especially to be easier to carry my "big box". So I turn to the Canon brand which in my opinion offers very good products. Once again, I am not disappointed: the quality is always at the rendezvous, both from a result standpoint photo, esthéthique, functionality ... I've had in the past a Canon range IXUS and this one gives me much satisfaction. Of course, since the functions have seriously evolved and offer a wide choice. We can now use the zoom while filming (which is handy) and Full HD please !! The screen is a good size, the image resolution is parfaite.Il no dead time when triggered, the picture is taken immediately, that's a very good point compared to other competitors. Access to the menu is relatively simple and quick, all need not need to read the manual for hours, it is appreciable. We become almost pretending with this type of device because it does all the work for us with the choice of automatic mode; so do not be afraid to turn off the auto mode to explore all the capabilities of the IXUS 220 HS. The red color is very nice, it changes the usual colors like silver, for example. Only small black dots whether to find the strap that I find a bit rigid and which lacks room to tighten, especially for someone like me who has large hands, I always fear to drop !!; although I said a little earlier that the image quality is there, I expected a bit more, especially for a 12-megapixels, on some photos, there is a bit of grain in my taste but hey, you can not have the same rendering as with an SLR, obviously. Finally, a product of very good quality for a price that is frankly not excessive!
