X52 Pro - it could have been so good ....

Now since good two weeks, I own a Saitek X52 Pro and rarely have I found myself in such a mix of emotions.
Almost 160,00 Euro took me a good piece yet tasted and could be obtained through the absolute upper limit of pain, in terms of what I wanted to spend on such a computer accessories. However, I did everything I had heard about the technical details, convinced that this is a controller that has to be regarded as a long acquisition.
As the X eintrudelte 52 Pro with me, I was happy like a child. The device has been designed quite stable and makes a good first impression. The whole thing is somewhat marred by the fact that at such a high price-controller not a nice detailed manual here is only a CD with drivers and software. Both are, of course (as in most hardware) outdated and must be re-downloaded from the internet. Thus, the CD was not exactly valuable.
After installation, you start with the programming of the joystick and I must say, the possibilities are enormous - almost too much!
Since a decent manual is missing, you should bring a lot of time, because the search for information on the Internet or talking with the hotline will dominate the events. To make a long story short, I just summarize the points on which I have been annoyed in bullet points together:

- The X Pro 52 is the end of 2006 on the market and touted the color adjustment of existing LEDs. Only in August 2007 came a beta drivers on the market, which makes this possible, among other things, and this is only available in English. (September 2007)
- A manual with images and sketches that explain where each button is located and what you can do with it, there is neither in printed form nor as a download. Although the existing manuals explain the SST programming software, which it however with the throttle has Force "rotary control on where the mouse stick is how you can exchange profiles during the game, etc. can be found only through a lot of searching and talks with the very nice and tried out hotline. explanatory images from the joystick, there is none.

Conclusion:
Such a device should not receive until after half a year halfway functioning beta drivers and beta software. With a price range such blunders must already be eliminated in advance. The X52 Pro is indeed a great device, but due to the absence of a rational printed manual and fully functioning alpha software, it is unfortunately very overpriced. A price below 100 euros should its real value correspond more.

Tip for those who still want to buy it ...

- The joystick setting make primarily within the games and use the X52 Pro without profile "until the SST software was programmed properly.
- Search in English the official forum for videos 'and beta', so that one comes close to English learning videos and the Beta drivers and software. In normal "download area you will find here, unfortunately, nothing.
- Lots of patience ...

What a pity - the X52 would without all the trappings entitled to 5 star ...
