--1. Look and feel: 1-
It is definitely the most beautiful smartphone that I've ever had and in my opinion also one of the most attractive on the market today. It is processed not a metal, but it is the whole body of a piece of what you already feel in handling, because nowhere is shaking slightly or creaks. It is wonderfully slim and the rubber backing offers stability and feels comfortable. Fair orphan I have to say though, that I use the shell of Pulsar Plus and therefore can not tell you how endangered these abrasion rubber on duration.
The glass is scratch-resistant Gorilla glass, which goes to the edge of the smartphone and there is slightly rounded. Without the sheath is a traumhaftest touch ;-). Of this seems from the word "scratch" quite well to have his permission. The fact that there is no edge to the glass, the large display of 4.7 inches falls hardly more significant than smaller specimens. One can thus also use the smartphone well, if you do not have huge paws.
The mechanical buttons (power and volume) have a great pressure point without wobbling or the like.
The red accents (touch keys, camera and Beats Logo liked me a lot.
The only negative points are, in my opinion, firstly, that the power button on the top right. I previously had a Galaxy S2 (a peak phone) and there I got better at the button. With a smart phone of this size, it is sometimes difficult with not too big hands to arrive at one-handed use safely above.
Furthermore, it is visually appealing, but practically a bit unfortunate that the camera protrudes from the housing. The protective glass / plastic part before the lens is scratch-resistant, which is certainly affect the quality of the photos in the long run. Also I have however prevented by the sheath.
--2. Software and service: 1
The daily contact with the phone is a show. Everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Well, here and there a few micro - stuttering, I will not deny. For the good piece happens now pumped full of apps and widgets. When I use the surface GoLauncher and special lockscreens, so can not so much to say HTC Vanilla system.
In general, I have to say that pre-installed apps for me never say anything about the device itself, as there is now a program for everyone in Google Play Goals.
Pre-installed by the way Android 4.1.2 HTC Sence 4+.
The menu of the setting is certainly very intuitive and well sorted.
Also you can turn off the "three points" for the menu still and place it on a sensor key. This is probably the successor is no longer, what would bother me very much and did not bother until I had this option at the One X + found.
The ability to browse through recent apps used (right sensor button) I find practical and well implemented.
In addition, there are some useful pre-installed apps that are fun. So there is a strong program for image processing and the ability to extract images from videos. Very handy if you time could not decide whether you're filming or photographing.
As I said, everything is wonderfully smooth and it's fun, rumzuwischen all day on the phone.
The only slight criticism of my side is that the touch panel keys do not light up constantly, and the brightness detection is not always running perfectly. Sometimes the keys remain off even if it is quite dark around me. Too bad that this can not change without root privileges.
--3. Hardware: 2
From this point a few words to display, sound and camera.
The sound is pretty good with respective headphones. Punchy Bäasse and clear highs, as much of an average consumer with rock music preferences. The speakers are okay, but certainly not the best thing you can have.
The camera is in my opinion nice but not perfect. In low light you have to be lucky that a very good photo is, but yes, this is then but surely also there. In good / average light the camera takes pictures and also provides some top settings. What I do not like is the over-sharpening the images that we see from time to time but disturbing.
The display in turn is at its best. Clear and super sharp views, a very good perspective and outdoors easily recognizable. 4.7 Customs authorities are also a great size. There's really nothing to complain about.
--4. Battery and Memory: 1
Yes, it is a smart phone, so the battery is not replaceable and has no week ...
But hey, he keeps in frequent use (much-Fi, camera, chatting and surfing, gaming in between and mails) loose one day. I'm rarely at under 20 percent go to bed. And I use not even the possible energy-saving mode.
Without videos and games I can do this without problems two days. After that, but then closing.
Furthermore, installed 64GB. Certainly there is no Micro SD slot, but who really needs more than 64 GB on his cell phone, which should look more like a laptop :-). In addition, so is omitted also managing two storage media, which I welcome. The connection to the PC as a "hard drive" works smoothly with me.
--Telefonie And connections: 2
Fi and mobile Internet are working quickly and easily. Also use as a hot spot works well with me.
Bluetooth I barely use, but never had any problems. GPS is also an actor and a good piece has often led me to the goal if I did not have my real Navi here.
Making calls with it, a fortune. And that is not bad. The connection is quickly and caller are both callee well understood. A pretty feature here is that you put the phone to the front and automatically regards the speakerphone.
Furthermore, there is in the settings clear and useful reports on consumption and connection.
Two points, but who 1 spoiled here:
- There is the possibility to backupen its data with Google. In itself a great thing, but if you much playing around, the data consumption seems to be enormous. So I had in the last few months a data throughput of 500 MB only for the item "Android OS". So not for the browser or YouTube, but for the system. This I was able to tell me only through this function backup and got them off. And tada, everything returns to the normal range.
- After two months of use it happened now and then that the SIM card was not detected shortly. That seems to be an isolated case. You must then log in again with its pin and can receive in time no messages or calls. Very ugly. Now I have some back up glued to the MikroSimkarte so that the contacts of the card are more pressed to the terminals on the phone and now had the last two weeks no problem.
All in all, remains to be said that it is the perfect combination for me of everything that I can find mometan for me personally with any other smartphone. It is superperformant, can be operated toll and also looks great.
The perfect smartphone there is not even the HTC One X + has a few quirks. But that's nagging at extremely high levels.
Therefore, I am also after 3 months still fully satisfied and give the note 1, so rounded 5 star and a strong buy recommendation!
So long ...
