Original Review:
What I like:
1. The structure is very simple. Just four parts into each other and off you go
2. Good cooling capacity. Even at low level it has a nice breeze, provides you the device to the highest level you have a living room half hurricane. I could try to just a few warm days the device so far, a midsummer experience on days with over 30 degrees is still pending.
3. Continuously adjustable. One can choose the Dyson AM08 between 10 different stages. It blows at level 1 only a light breeze, while level 10 already a room hurricane comes equal. When Rowenta Turbo Silence example blows stage 1 of 4 very neat, I personally would prefer it if this were not quite as strong on the lowest level. Here you always have the possibility to choose the most comfortable airflow and can very accurately dose. So far I have only the steps 1-5 requires, all about it would have been an exaggeration.
4. The device is very easy to clean. One must not screw apart. Once over wipe with a rag on everything that's done in less than a minute.
5. The design is very minimalist and therefore very precious. Round lines, the plastic is very light, but does not look cheap. In each apartment a looker, well suited for the office showing off;)
6. Very safe. There are no rotating blades. Especially if you have kids this is ideal. Although before the leaves usually always a grid, but even thus may resourceful children put their fingers or other things may thereby ensure damage. This is ruled out at this pedestal fan.
7. Sleep Timer. The device can be after 15 - 30 - off 45 minutes or 1-9 hours of alone. Thus, it is no problem to sleep at night in front of the fan, and still save energy.
8. Height adjustable. You can take off the center column and can be the height between 110 - 140cm vary.
9. Space-saving. My high-performance fan from Rowenta has a very broad, heavy base, which he takes quite a lot of space and also can not be stowed so well. This Dyson has a relatively small distance and can therefore be placed in almost any location, but are also very good stowed.
10. also be operated manually: Originally a major criticism was that you can not operate the unit without remote control, but this is incorrect. If you press the On / Off button for more you can regulate the intensity infinitely directly on the device. That's good if the remote control is lost time.
What I do not like:
1. The sensor for the remote control is bottom of the device. I absolutely can not understand why Dyson has done that and has since not learned from the feedback on the previous model. If you want to place the fan in a corner or behind a piece of furniture, you can no longer use it practically.
2. You can not set all the functions on the device itself. If you have lost the remote control or is it broken you have to forgo sleep timer or use the pan function.
3. The device can only swing from left to right. My Rowenta Fan pivots up and down yet.
4. shaky. He is a little shaky by the low weight of the fan. He is likely a result of the slightly wider base not tip over so quickly, but if you want something peppy contrast encounters or a pet, however runs or jumps because he might fall over.
5. Expensive. The Dyson Air multiple is expensive. Here at Amazon one finds almost no fan of more than 50% of the price of the AM08 costs. The Rowanta Silence Force costs less than 1/5 the price of this product and is more than adequate, or in terms of maximum out even superior when it comes only to the cooling capacity. Although I must say that to me, this machine has the smallest stage sometimes is too crass. Since I find the stepless control at Dyson clearly great. But ultimately you pay when Dyson primarily for the name, the design and technology, the newly developed. Whether one all the price ultimately must each decide for themselves worth. Even with half the price you would be still in the top price segment, would buying stimulus probably increase a little.
