I need the part mainly for weekends when it would sometimes give later eating or I am once a night away. The clocks run completely silently with me. Had a few reviews reckoned with loud geticke, had my device but keep your ear to hear whether it is running. Battery bit fiddly, perhaps does not hold too long, we'll see. The clock can not be adjusted to the minute, unfortunately, but it was clear beforehand. For my 2 cats do not care who go sometime in the kitchen and see if there is something to eat and then just agree. Am definitely satisfied
