I ADORE! I regretted having reached the last page! I do not know if this is the "great literature" ... But it's probably more than a little detective story!
This novel is one of those rare novels to have a "little music". The plot is full of breathless rebondissemnts, and is more a description of a certain America ... Some critics call this last feature of "caricature", I find that if the features are sometimes large, rather it serves about . The characters are never what they appear to the last page (except perhaps the narrator ... and again). I found several literary references, ranging from Steinbeck to Simenon through ... Edmond Rostand!
In short, a very entertaining read and not stupid: I search!
