The external sound card here was clearly the better choice.
Very simple, easy to handle and does exactly what it should.
The whole software modes of Dolby Home Theater are in my opinion, unnecessary, because once set, letting you usually like that.
I use a Sennheiser Momentum and am have been pleasantly surprised that's the difference to onboard chip yet so clearly audible.
I play a lot and listen to less music, so I can only judge the "gaming quality" and even there there just 5 stars, wonderful!
