Actually, I'm not a fan of so-called. Bereitschaftstaschen as these usually offer anything but a swift willingness of the camera. For this reason, I stow my DSLR and accessories always in the camera bag. The G12 I thought, however acquired, so I "always there" and have fast times may take a few snapshots. Since so disturbs a camera bag, of course enormous, and therefore I have the G12 usually without protection in the pocket, or wear it with the nylon straps. Already alone the purchase price of the camera made me then think again about an ever-ready case. The Canon Original bags I relatively quickly discarded because I'm not willing to pay that price. Which of course says nothing about the quality of these bags, which is designed great. As I said, nothing for me for this award. So I then came to this product here and I must say I'm thrilled! Properly matching, the material is very high quality - whether it is, however, genuine leather, I can not say. I would say a kind of coated leather, so that the bag does not soak in the rain. From the feel of the particles feels well padded and inside is a "velvety" reference sewn. The color looks really nice oldschool from, the color of the buttons ... neat stitching, great! The leather is also not too hard, so that the upper part nicely folded forward and while scanning does not interfere - at least for snapshots on city tours and occasional photograph need not be taken off the top. I do not mind in any case in the least. To transport the carrying case also a matching leather strap is then. This is somewhat wider than the original and therefore more comfortable to wear. All in all I am surprised about myself that I can inspire me for such a mundane product like this, but the bag is for me a perfect complement to the G12. It serves its protective purpose is handling at all out of the way, looks good and is priced not more to beat. At this point, however, I must say that I have referred the case on a "big auction house" ;-) - directly from China - for NEN "limp tens" incl. Shipping. :-)
