The sound is excellent, if you can hear mainly language. The sound quality for music I can not judge. Radio reception is very good. In the aux position, the device is not noisy. There are the two stars.
The list of disadvantages is much longer:
The unit pulls in the "Aux" position without any external audio source current. After one night, the batteries (6 AA batteries) are empty. If you listen to radio, the batteries last as long! The better even cheap powered speakers from the media market.
The device has a sleep function in the aux position. It then turns itself off after 20 minutes. Unfortunately, this attitude is not the alarm clock! That's the biggest mistake of the device.
One could of course simply because current benutzen- if the supplied cable from the socket would sufficiently long. It is only two meters long, with a clunky power adapter. In my bedroom that thing gets so no connection. In addition, the power supply is hot that one might not actually have an inaccessible behind furniture.
The Tivoli songbook also has a few minor quirks: You can set only one alarm. It does not handle (which is rather impractical) and the only way to suspend it or to fix, is a kind of screw hole on the back. The housing is coated with anything matt rubbery. That's probably good against Scratch the disadvantage that it is a little more difficult to remove dust and grease finger traces. Also, a remote control is missing. It would also be nice if you could adjust or select when the unit turns off when the "Sleep" setting.
My conclusion: As a pure clock radio brauchbar- but hopelessly overpriced. Everything else is not working well. Upon receipt, the sound and the marketing has made an effort, the rest seems to be the cheapest standard goods. For 30 euros, the device would be ok for 250 not. I would not buy me again.
