With Full HD movies (eg BluRay) is indeed to see a 3D effect, but it should not always be like him. So usually the brighter objects are offset toward the front to the audience, even though this would sometimes rather belong to the background. For half a star deduction, as this works well on almost any of the current TV sets.
True 3D BluRays (which also designed for 3D and not only were converted) get along very well. Pop-outs work very well and in all weathers one thinks that there is a storm in the living room. The color quality is very good.
For PC games, I felt (can deceive me) that the conversion works better here. A HUD eg first person shooters seem ever to stand out of the machine and opponents and many objects look very interesting. However, here too, the resolution must be correspondingly high, so 3D is recognizable.
The half star deduction further I give for the assembly instructions! There are after building with us still 4 "buttons" around where nobody knows for what are supposed to be good (possibly later wall mounting ???). Of the two described in the manual backup strips bolted to the Lowboard and to be connected to the TV, so that it can not tilt forward, only one was in the delivery. That thing is still very good on his slightly abstract base.
From my perspective, the 42LM615S LG definitely can be recommended when it comes to the current state of technology that you can afford.
