4 stars - but only because of the price

My Beamer LED were 66 black, 66 white LED (currently for about 80, - "No. 1 bestseller in Beamer"), RD-803 and RD-803 offered black white the test. I had each ordered the black, got the RD-803 but in white. There are worse things, so I was able to compare the different housings. Both projectors are located in the lower price segment - if not yet among them. And that's why I want to deal with both projectors in a review.

Was delivered:
the Beamer
an English manual
a remote control (without batteries)
a connection, a VGA and a 3-fold Cinch cable (red, white and yellow)
a fuse and a few screws

Both housings are with 330x246x116 mm bzw.330x257x105 about the same same size, weighing 3 kg - and no longer appear to date me. They are not held in piano black finish. This promises less sensitivity to dirt. For my taste, the housing is too big and too heavy in 2014. There are also non-slip feet today. Here probably too much has been saved.

Both projectors have 2x5W stereo sound. Wonder not, if that's what rattles because the left and right of the projectors out, has nothing to do with what you put into it to music. The sound is a disaster!

The connectivity options are extensive: 2xUSB (the LED 66 of the second line is either broken or shut down, but not advertised), 2xHDMI (LED 66 only once), VGA, TV, AV and more diverse clinch connections should most situations satisfy. TV-input and channel selection on the remote control suggests that even a TV tuner is installed. I have not tested, because the TV tuner would be a maximum of one analog - and outdated as such in Germany of the time.

The / the fans develop a considerable volume - otherwise I certainly have never experienced in projectors. The LED 66 comes to me a little quieter before - I have not measured. That also is not worth - both are too noisy!

Both control panels operate any unclean. I do not want to explain in detail, because this alone would fill pages now. We need the remote control in any case. Both projectors offer the possibility of a software update, which is absolutely fashionable (lt. Menu). The question is: "Where do I get the update?". On Amazon you will find only dealers. I have checked with my supplier and will immediately inform you here when I hear news!

Other input options as USB and VGA I have not tested, HDMI I'll make up for. It was not given to me to create a really sharp image on a projection screen. My canvas is a quality screen and 1.5 meters wide. This means that I have to set up the projector in 1.8 m distance, so the image still fits completely on the canvas. However, this distance is the minimum distance between the two projectors, because the setting is so fully exploited. For the LED 66 the distance is too big, because you already see the individual pixels with their borders, would further reduce the gap.

The manual is in English only. It is provided with many illustrations. I can not judge how someone copes with it, of the English is not powerful but. Again, I see a big minus point.

The remote control is supplied without batteries. The following defects, I have found the RD-803:
1. Battery compartment without marking for +/-
2. Battery springs sit wrong
3. no guide for the batteries when inserting
4. On / off button stuck
If your experience and has taught them that the springs (almost) always represent the negative, you are on the sunny side. Whether still pinch more buttons, I did not test, because I have not checked all the functions. Again, I note a big minus point. The remote control of the LED 66 is OK. Although it is a little homespun therefore, for only the feet are to criticize, that are not available with the remote control of the RD-803. Both remote controls operate at 38 kHz. Unfortunately, the respective other projectors can not drive but. It would be an internal Nazi Party, with pleasure to hand over the remote control of the RD-803 to the electronic scrap. Unfortunately, I need it yet!

The cord is very stiff and only 1.5m long. It is just enough to the floor when the projector is placed on a slide projector table. If you have the cable plugged the jack wobbles in the housing of the projector. This is not reassuring - and costs a hefty star deduction.

The included VGA or PC cable has decoupling capacitors. Both projectors work easily with the PC signal. The image of the RD-803 is classes better.

The RCA cables are somewhat flexible, but have no shield. So you are ready to catch any hum - if for one is catch. When the addition is OK and could be a good help. I had a cable so far only in the camper in use. Even that was not screened - and the hum horribly.

The included backup makes a little suspicious. Most burns yes to a projector through the bulb - and not security. After all, securing EU and not US format. Built 100W LED lamp promises a lifespan of 20,000 - the RD-803 even 50,000 hours. The 100W my slide projector are considerably brighter. For the bulb will burn out faster. Now I have never seen a bulb in LED technology, the 100W verbrät. That would correspond to conventional 1000W. This not a built-up bulb by far! So why the backup and no second bulb?

If you "helpful not" find it, please write a review. This helps other buyers much more than meaningless "unchecking"!

Conclusion:
If I draw together all aspects, both projectors are junk. But both also promise miracles. And the price urges restraint in criticism therefore 4 stars! One recommendation I can give a maximum of the RD-803. But if the quality does not matter, and you really want to have a projector, you are well served here!
