Indeed, Talin child suffered the worst outrages on the part of his adoptive father and had only one support, very strong friendship and even fusion of Clay, 6 years older, he was always there for her but she moved away from him in order to live for herself like Jenny then back to him knowing that he will be the only one able to help in one way or another. Clay is not the candor of Forrest or mental disability, but his feelings for his beautiful are unique, powerful, where the personality of Forrest was Innocence and gentleness, that of Clay is in the grip of devastating the leopard! When Jenny returns to Forrest, he accepts it and takes it as it is, Clay thought he and struggles to forgive his horrible lie, but his leopard drives him to protect again, it will let leave! Like Jen, Talin also hides a secret ...
At first I found it hard to get into this new adventure, because it seemed strange to me that the feelings between an 8 year old and a 14 year passionate love curl, then why have intertwined in others, and I have felt the power of emotions exalted by the terrible events that can only grow too fast an already precocious child and the changeling hyperprotecteur instinct!
Then of course, Mine forever is not that the story of Clay and Talin is also investigated as Nalini Singh seems fond of them to incorporate his universe by incorporating a little more human world that of psi and changeling, through the detective Max Shannon (hero of Volume 8: bounds of justice) that deals with child murders and disappearances all having a connection with the Shine organization and its director Dev Santos (hero of Volume 7: Blaze of mémory) for which Talin works.
I loved discovering our two cardinal Psi Faith and Sasha in a day changeling in the way they want to protect Clay like the pack which always mixes business of his own. Talin does not stain on this world as well as human we see hyper possessive towards what she considered her male friend but who, now that she is an adult, discovers sensual impulses she has trouble to manage because of its past.
We are moving in the new protocol established by the horrible Ming the Good and managed by the M-Psi Ashaya Aleine to be the heroine of the next volume (hostage to pleasure), and on the machinations of the mysterious Phantom and "resistance" to counter the Psi and their cause maximum casualties. The world described by Nalini Singh is growing, and this volume is much darker than the previous ones, probably because of the suffering of Talin in the past, and the kidnappings and gruesome murders where the woman picked using Clay!
I enjoyed the rise of Clay adult feelings that wants to let his beast speak and mark that he knows to be his child since she rescued the injured leopard, as well as developments in this woman bruised, fragile and strong at once, panicked and afraid to violence the only person who did him no harm. Psychological analysis is smoothly conducted the investigation, finesse and subtlety, everything is plausible despite the paranormal universe of the story!
A 4th album that confirms my talent that I find to this author who captivates me each of his writings, and my interest in this series!
