The protection is adequate, but not worth a padded bag. The padding is 1cm-1.5cm. The outside looks pretty strong and is more "class" than the usual plastic more upholstered models.
Therefore:
Goodies: Aesthetics, thickness, Nylon 600 outside funds.
Cons: just protection you need for an environmental transportation without too much risk.
