I like the Adobe software, perhaps because I'm working with it for over 10 years, still with CS2.
Of course, made all sorts of excursions, such as Zoner Professionel, Gimp and a few others but always returned quickly to Adobe.
So just everyone has their preference.
I am an avowed minimalist when it comes to image editing, almost never at Olympus RAW and JPG super edition is even seltenst necessary.
To this day, has never asked whether it is RAW processing or JPG, a customer is interested in the end only the finished image.
No one goes through a magnifying glass over it, only the 100% magnification and pixel fetishists at High Tech PC.
Who has to make meter printouts or retouched for glossy magazines, which was granted RAW.
Therefore I also have no Lightroom but enough for me to Olympus own RAW converter, which is also supplied free of charge and is kept up to date.
An exception are the sigmoid colon, the function anyway only in RAW and RAW converter of Sigma own, but that's a different topic.
For all other Adobe Photoshop Elements is a very good program.
I've element 12 is installed on a Windows 8.1 computer, but no high-end device, but for normal users and it runs without any restrictions and liquid.
And I've left my old Elements 9 on it and delete anything, Adobe rumgespielt familiar and no settings.
Took 15 minutes, including registration, I had long to register an account with Adobe and therefore no problem my program.
On the contrary, so far to me the service of Adobe has always helped quickly, but these have so far only used to 3x PC exchange.
Come by and find Elements 9 Elements 12 as major progress, but that's always the subjective impression.
I like the new structure, to which one must get used to, but with new always so.
The RAW integration of Olympus OMD EM5 works perfectly.
Sigma course not, but the cook anyway their own thing.
Have about 2 days needed to find anything like the old and operate but it was worth it.
Many new features, I consider it tidier and clearer and faster to use.
Again, purely subjective.
Have Elements 9 still on the PC but no longer use, element 12 runs almost every day for weeks without problems.
Even I find this program quite sufficient for more when someone needs, there is also more to buy or to rent a month now, what I feel for the first time as a no-go at Adobe.
If, like me, is making great steps in new Adobe Elements, come from 5 to 9 and now to 12, you can see the development.
Of course you can talk about anything bad or sugarcoat shouting for joy, but Adobe Elemenst 12 is very good and the offer price is right and the price - performance ratio.
Who wants greed is Geil has free programs on the Internet and then but must also live with it.
From me a buy rating for Elements 12th
