650+ is compatible with 500 and 200 series - more power

I have the simple Starter Kit bought here 680+ because this version is not yet available with 3x LAN connection / was, but otherwise, the kits should be the same:

Construction on a new compatibility leap suggesting. When researching the press articles and information on the devolo website, no evidence could be found. Also customer reviews were not found because the series has not yet been delivered. Only by calling Devolo settled clarify the issue (love company Devolo, it is still not easily visible statement help the product description!).
Since I run to now five 500 units in a secure network, and I also have a 200 are in the closet I can contribute a few practical experiences:
- As always, I recommend only the device with the built-in socket, because they have a much better noise shielding when all devices are connected behind the dLAN.
- Before installing the equipment in hard to reach places, always write down the codes on the back that makes it easier to add later in the dLAN Cockpit.
- The 500 and the 200 devices are compatible with the new 650+ devices, wherein the compound having between two devices is always limited by the slowest! Unlike a Vorrezensent but I have no improvement in performance in a pure 650 + he found power ... even if I would have expected it ... the cable ratios but very different.
- The connection speed between two adapters often differs significantly according to transmission direction (in my case are 10-30 Mbit / s difference the rule, the lower the overall performance pronounced the stronger). Unfortunately, the power is sometimes in the wrong direction there ...)
- After the replacement of the "central" 500 device through a 650+ unit's performance between 0 and 15 Mbit / s has increased, what I would interpret in the usual fluctuations as unchanged performance.
- The replacement of three other devices I've found the following changes (first value 500 to 500, the second value to 650+ 650+):
489 Mbit / s to 588 Mbit improvement / s
68 Mbit / s to 105 Mbit improvement / s
30 Mbit / s improvement to 56 Mbit / s

Update 19/04/2014: In the meantime, the Devolo are 1000+ "announced" (ct 9/2014) which bring good degree of bad connections even higher performance increase (sales start I would, however, not expected before winter 2014). Currently I have 5 650+ networked, even though I have observed such vote, the devices within a few days better together and bring higher performance in the compounds mainly used. However, I have a connection between hard drive recorder and media player that is rarely used (the WD-player is usually from / pulls no data) there folds Vote no. In Download direction the connection provides 11 Mbit / s and upload in direction 50 Mbit / s, although the load is obtained exactly the opposite ... when technology thinks ;-). Nevertheless, the recommendation remains.
