Both single male and female connectors are a nice tight fit so there is nothing of the usual cracking you often get with cheap phone cables and effectively divide the stereo signal without apparent loss of strength or degradation the quality. Maybe not the most versatile cable ever, it would be ideal, for example, to allow two people watching a movie or listening to music on a tablet without disturbing others (handy for entertaining children on long journeys car!).
