The coat rake I had worried, even before my Golden Puppy moved here. At that time his hair was much too short and fine in order to use them wisely can, so they disappeared from the scene. Until the 2nd or 3rd moult. Since then it is used once a day, to shedding times even many times. Result: he has neither matted hair still nodules that need to be cut out.
Risk of injury
The rounded tips of the pins, the risk of injury can be classified as very low. In Golden, there are however 2 points which are a bit tricky: the throat pouch and the uncastrated males the scrotum, which is often obscured by the panties. Breast and panties are on top of all the games in which these fur rake is the most important, because (plucked) brushes rich there usually not deep enough to capture loose undercoat.
Handling
In principle, just like a normal (plucked) brush fur in the direction of growth. Once or twice a week it is, however, also inched against the grain, then again in Fell direction of growth before the whole is completed with plucked and nylon brush. She draws, no: accumulated loose hair without it in any form whatsoever to cut, no twinge (this may certainly be different with nodules), massaged probably go some way toward Fellnase. There was certainly never complaints. Of course, always something extra care to the more sensitive points used.
Cleaning
The collected hair can be in this coat rake easily removed (no comparison to plucking and nylon brushes). Any fat and sebaceous matter with hot water and, if necessary, remove them with a soft nylon brush.
Processing
Since I have no complaints. All pins can be rotated, so may be a little "loose" and have in the tenth of a millimeter some play. Whether it really brings something to have "rotating" pins, was once an open question, I can not judge simply because I am not a groomer.
Conclusion
In combination with other brushes a very good tool to free long-haired fur noses of loose undercoat.

My review covered the 2-row metal Striegel no. 98720 and not (!) 98719th The 98720er has 39 teeth instead of 19 teeth that are much closer to each other, but does not seem to be getting to. All the caretaking I'll deal with him, because I do not like this Striegel miss.
The 98720er I had for a friend * * reappointed, but was delivered 98719er. The is safe for all Grobe's fine, but not nearly as efficiently again the 98720er. The 98719er would get from me only 4 stars because the prongs are too far apart. Could, however, imagine that he does a good job at Briards & Co. me.
With a 1 * -Rezension I've read that several tines are broken. Something like this can I explain to me in principle only by a "Monday copy" or plagiarism, because both Striegel here are absolutely wertig processed, stable and robust. That, if anything, break off during grooming, I can not imagine. That would be, in fact, a no-go.
