So after poking around on the net long (since this summer, I set my heart on multiple screens:
- The Samsung S27A850D
- The Samsung S27B970D
- The Asus PB278Q and
- The Dell U2713HM
I did not choose the Asus because the backlight dimming is treated with PWM; in some it is said that this can be noticeable (there is a flicking (flicker) that in low light can be seen).
The technology begins to disappear and is not used with the three other contenders. Of course, not sure I'll have 'suffered', but hey, 600 the screen, I would have wanted me not to be avoided if possible.
That said, many people are satisfaitent their Asus.
For Samsung S27A850D, it is the first 2560 * 1440 Samsung with their own slab PLS (IPS at the Samsung sauce). Definitely a good choice, with swivel and USB 3.0 hub, but after all it is the first attempt by Samsung and the screen now date of 2011. As for the price, similar to the Asus and Dell (approximately).
For the second Samsung, the S27B970D A BEAUTIFUL screen, but no pivot and USB 2.0 hub. However, afterwards I did not need. However (and until recently), the price was close to 1000. Today, we see appear to 799. But hey, if we add that the screen is not rotating, it is more expensive, and it has a glossy ... I had enough hesitation.
Again, it should be tested to realize really that a glossy will not be annoying at home.
Finally some service problem echoes refreiné have my cravings. Note that I am not anti Samsung: I already have a TV and home theater brand (excluding telephone).
At the end, the Dell appeared to me as obvious. Already by the exchanges on a forum with hardware owners.
Any screen can have defects (visible to those seeking However, less common users). The perfect screen does not exist.
But tests found in particular TFTCentral decided me to take the plunge. And above all, the famous guarantee 0 defective pixel (first pixel) announced by Dell.
The screen is rotating at the base, has a portrait mode, a USB3.0 hub
The order by Amazon? Ben cheaper than Dell and especially delivered in 24 hours.
Today, the screen is on my desk. What to say?
No dead pixels, sober screens but finished well.
The image is sharp, smaller texts (you must know).
But a very good game for me Use (Company of Heroes, Call of Duty, GTA IV, Flight Sim ...).
And to display three A4 pages 100% on Word, finally, we have a broad view of what we do.
In short: Community satisfied !!!
Films on SD going well (as the HD of course)
