A bit disappointing 27

A bit disappointing for a TomTom, here's what I did not like:
1 / Contrary to what is suggested by the product description, the TMC receiver is an external box that adds a son package and quite unsightly suction cups on the windscreen! Rather than indicating "TMC receiver included" it would have been more honest to say that it is an external box to connect by itself on GPS. In addition there is no setup doc of this case, not even the name of this case on its packaging!
2 / Even having downloaded the latest maps, they are not up to date (false sense unique, new roundabouts nonexistent). Worse, TMC information is not indicative of very penalizing work have already lasted 6 months and that will last at least as much! Example in Paris the natural access to the northern motorway in continuation of the Rue de la Chapelle is blocked which requires a workaround for a good half hour! Rather than having the opportunity to indicate the new radar, I would have preferred that the users can also easily specify the streets barred for repairs!
3 / I do not like fixing windshield TomTom which I find less convenient than traditional cupping with deformable rod which allow a more remote mounting of the windshield. The TomTom system makes it very laborious extraction and reinsertion of the bearing housing and limits many possible locations on very sloped windshield breezes!
4 / In full sun, I find the brightness of the screen inadequate
5 / Regarding voice guidance Text-to-Speech allows the announcement of street names, this mode does not work by default, you must download abbord a synthetic voice that might have been installed as standard on models bénéficiants this function. In a little more complicated than traditional intersections roundabouts, a well-tested bug reverse voice prompts (right instead of left and vice versa) in phrases like "at the end of the road turn left and then right "which is quite disconcerting! Especially that one wonders what can it mean" end of the road "in a standard street (which does not end in cul de sac) in the city center! Heureusemant graphic indications that they remain fair!
6 / In a little complicated intersections, the processor is slow to react and graphic Positioning of the vehicle is often inaccurate and late compared to the national réalité.Par example along the highway, the vehicle is positioned on the same highway if you are not!
7 / In the menu "Navigation to a place", unable to give an address like "aerodrome or airport" followed by the name of the city. Yet these very useful POI are not part of the standard lists!
In conclusion, I would say it offers a GPS functionality / price interesting but beware, the greater part of these features are fairly well integrated rajoutis on a hardware / software base and insufficient in the end we got what you paid for and not more! Rather than this model, I would recommend either a TomTom range above or below a range or do not pay then the brand and look elsewhere!
