Display:
The screen is matt. Wonderful to use in bright classrooms. Anyone looking for a make-up mirror screen (Glare), can indeed see where else. The brightness is more than adequate, you can certainly turn down some stairs - which is also the battery life for good. The resolution is good, the fonts readable and sharp crack. The colors are beautiful. Note: The notebook has only one HDMI port, no VGA or DVI. This should be considered when beamers. However, my HDMI to DVI adapter is working and the connection to the projector as well.
Battery:
I get along well during the day, the 5 specified hours were exceeded with me - clearly. Super also the charger - that's not a brick. It is wonderfully small. Not like in some netbooks, where the weight advantage only applied if you do not had with the charger.
Space (HDD):
The built 32 GB memory (not expandable) is not much, but for Windows, Office and several additional programs it is enough. In USB 3 port lies a faster USB3 Stick (A short, projecting only enige mm), as well as the data is migrated. Thus, the unused and the Acer programs are uninstalled still some GB free on the system partition. In my case about 7. On delivery, there were about 13, but I have quite a bit of software installed. That the built memory is not as fast as a modern SSD at a good controller in a i7 notebook was to be expected, but the notebook is also no mobile workstation.
Memory (RAM):
A bolt is installed at the factory and can exchange information by removing the bottom plate problemlaus by laymen against a larger.
Audible noise:
NULL. No fans, no hard drive. Even the power supply "whimpers" not.
Power:
The notebook is not a racer. However - the startup process is fairly quick, and the popular office programs run Wunderbar. SPSS, Matlab also run. Surfing the Internet is no problem. CAD and Photoshop I have not tested - but that's not the application! Youtube runs pretty fast even in HD.
Speaker:
Enough. For fast times Youtube look okay.
Keyboard / touchpad:
The keyboard is good. I write a lot and get along well with them. At the # -Tastenposition have to get used, but was fixed. The touchpad has installed the click buttons on the touch panel, no extra keys. Multi-finger gestures function as intended, the cursor can be controlled precisely. Also click and drag-works well.
Conclusion:
Small, light, silently - a great companion for the university, the work and for all who enjoy traveling with small luggage. The 220 euros well spent, we find in this price segment is not much better. Strong buy recommendation.
