In the past I've been experimenting with the classical ring binders like Filofax, but always found that the does not satisfy me. The sides are barely usable, in particular, the respective left.
Extensions are difficult because one is always set to a system because of perforation.
The ubiquitous loose leaf collections are all over, wrinkling and fall out sometime.
The concept of the X17 has not convinced me from the outset. I found, however, that it would be worth a try.
So I bought a starter set.
Also present:
Two notebooks with mid-year calendar (originally with time circles; it is no longer)
two notebooks,
two double pockets for business cards and post-its.
Meanwhile replace two bands book the ruler that I had as a bookmark in it.
After two years with the A5 Nylskin I am really very very satisfied with the X17 concept, also because almost everything stapled in DIN A5 format comes along, can hang there.
For personal papers and documents, there are the double bags.
The previous speaker is quite right that the Elastix (ie rubber bands) fade slightly. But that reminds me only when I'm working in the office on our cheap plastic desks.
In the hands or higher surfaces I've never found discoloration.
In conclusion, I ask for me firmly:
All Organizer systems are ultimately compromises. The X17 is the version where I have to make the least concession to me.
Therefore I climb gradually continue to to X17. Now there is a A4 + project book that will replace my A4 Moleskinebücher.
