The two CDs here have the following structure: on CD1 can be found chronologically the mixes that were made by Falco Singles 1981-1986. As for me personally particularly pleased: the focus is on the singles from the albums solitary confinement (1981) and Young Roemer (1984), which I like very well. From this mix, there was until now almost no mixes on CD. Continuing with the well-known hits from the albums Falco 3 and Emotional. On CD2 can be found then the other singles of 1987 and Album Wiener Blut (1988) before it then goes on with the B-sides of singles and rare remixes. The compilation includes then with five rare instrumental / dub versions of Falco hits.
Conclusion: for me as a fan one of the best Falco releases ever! If you like Falco and has a weakness for original Maxi versions of his hits, can safely access here. Not only here completely all hits which Falco was in the 80s in the charts, in addition, one finds even B-sides, rare single versions and instrumental versions of the Falcon. The only negative is that you did not get the rights to the Shep Pettibone remix of-Do It Again (of 1988 published in the US only), this is the only single the missing here. With the exception of this bizarre cover version you can find here really but everything really relevant. And when you also consider that this version are partly over 30 years old and that the rights of the mixes at labels are (Sony, Warner, etc.), then you can see the power of Blank & Jones at this so80s presents Falco not be overestimated. Accessing and wonderfully oblique charm of Falco 12 Maxi versions from the 80s enjoy!
The mixes are as follows:
The Commissioner (Extended Version) 6:23
1981: This is the previously published only in the Netherlands extended version of Falco's first worldwide hit. This version gabs never on CD.
All of Vienna (THAT SCENE) 4:22
1981: This is the English version of Ganz Wien, Falco's first ever single release. Always wonderfully again: Falco's strange English ;-)
MACHINE BLOWING (SPECIALLY REMIXED VERSION) 4:55
1982: This is the only published in the US and in France 12 remix of Falco's second hit from the album solitary confinement. This mix emphasizes the rap style Falco. This version gabs never on CD.
Fleeing (SPECIALLY REMIXED VERSION) 4:33
1982: This remix also comes from the US, where the song was held machine Burns released as a single. The remix is sharper and more grip than the original. This version gabs never on CD.
Junge Römer (Extended Version) 6:38
1984: This is the Extended Mix of the theme song of Falco's second album. In the middle section there is a long guitar solo and additional sound effects and unheard in the album version Falco text passages. This version gabs never on CD.
ROCK ME AMADEUS (SALIERI VERSION) 8:21
1985: This is the especially in the US and England very popular Salieri version of Falco's biggest hit. This version was then to be found on the international version of the album Falco 3 Falco's singing part and reduced to a minimum. This is the version in which the life stages Mozart be read by a newscaster. A Maxi version as Disneyland glorious!
Viennacalling (METTERNICH ARRIVAL MIX) 7:40
1985 This version was also on the international version of Falco 3 and is a slightly slower and more electronic version of this hit. For collectors: the also very popular, if somewhat quirky tourist version of this song can be found on the 25th Anniversary Edition of the Falco 3 2010 has been published.
JEANNY (Extended Version) 8:50
1985 Falco's biggest hit in the German-speaking countries can be found here in its almost 9-minute version, including women's choir at the beginning.
COMING HOME (JEANNY PART 2: one year on) (Extended Version) 7:43
1986 to force Good idea, the second part of Jeanny saga after the first part of the CD. The Extended Version mixed Indian-looking melodies additives and an extended guitar solo at the end of the original and raises Falco's voice in the chorus more out.
THE SOUND OF MUSIC (ROCK N SOUL EXTENDED VERSION) 10:00
1986: One of the longest Falco Maxi versions. The first single from the album Emotional runs in this remix whole 10 minutes. One of my favorite remixes by Falco.
EMOTIONAL (Extended Version) 7:38
1986 Falco's foray into the Plastic Soul in the extended European version. The remix begins with a men's Soul Choir and mixed passages to which were not used in the original version. For fans: this is the German-language version of Continental, not the English Extended Mix NY.
BODY NEXT TO BODY (WITH BRIGITTE NIELSEN) (Dance Mix) 6:18
1987: After Falco allegedly a year before a duet with Madonna (who was at the same record company) has rejected, he took in 1987 this song, the Giorgio Moroder wrote, with the Dane Brigitte Nielsen on. The Dance Mix reduces the Hard Rock elements of the original mixes and squints Nomen est omen more on the dance floor. This version gabs never on CD.
Wiener Blut (12 MIX) 7:20
1988: The strongest song from the otherwise rather weak album Wiener Blut. The 12 mix makes the song very danceable and a bit harder.
SATELLITE TO SATELLITE (EXTENDED REMIX VERSION) 8:19
1988: The second single from the Wiener Blut album. Also very dancefloor-oriented. Sounds wonderfully old-fashioned today.
Heroes of today (Extended Version) 5:13
1981: The B-side of the rare Dutch 12 of the extended version of the Commissioner on CD1 comes. This version gabs never on CD.
COULD BE LOVE? (WITH DESIREE NOSBUSCH) (Single Version) 3:50
1984: A very untypical Falco number and single release. This version is the rare duet version with the TV presenter Desiree Nosbusch, which was then released only on 7. Never again sounded so much like Falco NDW This version gabs never on CD.
URBAN TROPICAL (Extended Version) 7:26
1985 Before Falco with Bollands produced his third album, he wrote this song about drugs, sex and music. Has produced the song, the Austrian artist Supermax. The song is present here in the extended version, which was to be found on the single Rock Me Amadeus B-side.
MEN OF THE WEST - ANY KIND OF LAND (Extended Version) 5:23
1985: The B-side of the single Jeanny can be found here in the extended version that offers an extended introduction to the song at the beginning.
ITS ALL OVER NOW, BABY BLUE (Rough Mix) 4:40
1985 This version differs from the album version which was taken by the saxophone more unequal in the mix. In the outro, the version differs from the original. As has never been discovered in the GIG-archives in the publication of the best-of album high in 2007.
All of Vienna (INSTRUMENTAL VERSION THAT SCENE) 2:32
1981: This instrumental version found on the B-side of Falco's first single That scene and offers the song in Dub mix. By the way, that very quietly listen to voice in the background Falco, was already at the 7 Vinyl - Single so that is not a failure of Blank & Jones. This version gabs never on CD.
Junge Römer (Dub Version) 6:05
1984: This mix is based on the Specially Remixed Version (which you will find the way so80s on the Compilation Volume 6). This version gabs never on CD.
VIENNA CALLING (THE VIENNA GIRLS SAX MIX MAX) 4:59
1985 The title of Remixes says anyway everything: in this version introduces saxophone very prominent by the melody. This version gabs never on CD.
THE SOUND OF MUSIC (INSTRU-MENTAL VERSION) 2:44
1986: instrumental B-side of the single of the same name. This version gabs never on CD.
EMOTIONAL (HER SIDE OF THE STORY) 5:19
1986: One of the funniest maxi version of Falco: the story of the song Emotional from the perspective of the participating lady on the B-side of the single is told.
