PATA SSD to give a facelift to an old PC. Do not expect an impressive acceleration as if you replace a SATA SSD drive with a SATA, IDE port is slower and you can not do anything. The acceleration will depend a lot on your configuration. By cons you find some fluidity especially in read / write. With an old Windows it is not obvious at first but in use there is more waiting. With Linux the speed is visible from the start and fluidity is excellent. For the swap against forget or you'll kill your drive.
