Unfortunately, flash units are no longer systematically mainteant intended to be driven by issuers VERY EXPENSIVE and not over-simply by connecting cable, as there are still 30 or 40 years. But I had a fluke finding this cord one, about 30 uros, I tried on the CANON 400D connected to the flash CANON 580 EX II. Earnings after a good series of tests "on the fly": THIS CABLE IS FULLY COMPATIBLE IN SEMI-AUTO AS IN AUTO. I was able to replace the transmitter to + 220 uros uros its battery + charger 20 at approx. Uros 30, or about 270 euros, for the cord 30 and some uros, about 240 uros saving.
Moral: if I had not found this flash ripcord, I would not have been able to invest in the 270 minimum uros for remote triggering. I therefore could use this new flash 580 EX II as mounted on the housing, not otherwise.
