The gameplay consists of gain experience by killing enemies or completing quests, collect weapons and compare the character upgrade (new skills) and run away a lot, to ever have against tough opponents groups a chance.
Is helpful when self-regenerating life bar and a sign that also recharges repeatedly. During the campaign, more and more blades with higher capacity and special abilities can be found, such as high melee damage or resistance to elemental effects (see below).
The game features four different character classes:
Axton - Commando - Specialist Turrets
Salvador - Gunzerker - specialist at the same time for the wearing of two arms
Maya - siren - a specialist in magic can teleport opponents briefly
Zero - Assassin - specialist attacks from ambush
A large Tactical Touch gets the game through four different types of elemental effects that randomly generates the various weapons (including grenades) are assigned, and not part of the standard.
Fire - effective against unarmored body
Shock (electric) - effective against shields
Acid - Effective against armor
Slag - Covered opponents suffer momentarily much higher damage
Explosive projectiles - splash damage
The combination of the various elemental effects in the game is absolutely critical. So it is advisable for example when an enemy with shield first apply a shock weapon to then ignite it by firearm. The directional pad can be during the game show four different weapons, the rest remains in the inventory, has limited capacity. The constant comparison of Boomstick and their sale is therefore mandatory.
Pro Contra
+ Smooth, clean comic graphics
+ Very good German Synchro
+ Tactically very demanding
+ Hochmotivierendes Gameplay
+ Huge number of freely selectable missions
+ Great opponent design, great animation
+ Strong level design
+ Interesting story
+ Thrills by costly death
(But the death is a brief revival by the shooting down of an opponent's possible!)
+ Deep black, wacky humor
+ Many individual skills, which can be redeployed at certain stations
+ Fair checkpoints
+ Very good control
Suitable between + also good for one round
+ Eridium collect to increase of carrying capacity
o permanently expensive dying (Headless vorranstürmen no guarantee of success!)
o opponents also appear in places on again, which have been previously cleared, like in Far Cry. 2
(Is due to the gameplay! The player is finally able to gather enough XP.)
o ending the campaign on Level 32 (only played Gunzerker) costs loose 40 hours and there are not even all side missions with it! A real time-waster! So nothing for people who would like to see in 12-15 hrs. The credits.
o to start only complicated
- When you save and quit to partly large distances to be covered for the old target will appear on the trails all enemies back again. Already completed mission objectives but are retained.
- Make some unfair by opponents (eg between bosses), defeat the player within a few seconds. Even fast run away nothing helps. There remains only level up and very-considered approach.
- Strong in relation to the XP helicopter
- Is not unusual to run into groups of enemies suddenly appearing with high firepower and you manage to just barely escaping alive
- Very poor final sequence
Conclusion: Borderlands 2 is thanks to countless, more diversity of missions and motivating hunt for ever better equipment definitely a game for the solitary island. Brilliant.
PS: The PS3 version will be slightly better than the Xbox 360 version, since textures are loaded a little faster.
