Customer Review

Of course, I'm a big fan of Madlib, a producer / rapper who has always musically weiterenwtickelt since appeared 22 years ago, the first work Alkaholiks and produces nachwievor excellent beats. With Freddie Gibbs, however, I was never able to really start what. The various projects that he has previously published, I could hardly convince. When then piñata (originally Cocaine Pinata) was announced, I had only limited glad for the reasons aforementioned, Of course, I wanted to give the album solely because Madlib a fair chance and I've still bought the album. And it hit me off my feet.

Freddie Gibbs, who is known as gangsta rapper remains as before at the theme gangsta rap. But in this work, I felt that Gibbs was out to create a coherent concept album. Of course I may be wrong but what I have taken from the album, that he wants to tell the story of a street gangster here who works her way up to the top, sort of in the style of Tony Montana. Although it is nothing groundbreaking or have something we do not already heard a thousand times in the past, the execution was right at Piñata. His flow is constant dope and his lyrics largely so contiguous that it harms the story on any case. You can tell that he has been at pains Madlib's beats to meet him and that's more than succeeded.
In terms of beats, there also nothing to complain about. Madlibs soulful productions perfect fit for Gibbs and his slightly rough voice and have almost Soundtrack character. On the album beats are also to be found that have a somber tone but are distributed sporadically and offer variety.

Piñata one should not be missed. Especially if you're on Madlibs beats, you can not go absolutely wrong in the album.
