It remains to define the use of such a guide.
Written by three consultants in business, it obviously does not replace the advice that can be provided facing any particular situation and can provide a comprehensive help by making a synthesis models known by policymakers, who can s' can refer to support their overall reflection and thus have in mind the models they know beforehand or to which they may be interested in doing some more research.
But ambition, in my opinion, is not going away.
The book will probably be more useful to students who have previously studied these current models and will not necessarily understand them or will want to find a clear and practical synthesis.
Then nothing can replace practice, through case studies or use in the framework of projects. In this light, the plug can be approached as a practical tool recalling the interest of the model and how we can use them.
For teachers, it can be an additional point of support, which may allow them to synthesize what they have already presented (or be inspired to their own presentation).
In short, a good idea, which has the merit to bring together in a single volume a set of common tools for management, although the order of presentation can always be criticized, beyond the presentation in three parts (strategic models , tactical, operational).
In practice, it is more to search for items using a specific model, irrespective of anything else (like a search of an encyclopedia) that read the book in its continuity. This is as it seems to be designed, to the extent that it remains a guide.
