It goes well with a turntable of medium price category. For me it amplifies the signals from a Thorens 166 Mk VI with an Audio-Technica AT 95 Pro (MM) pickups.
The vote of the Fono Mini has succeeded. He plays tonally correct, and the relatively open middle of the AT 95 Pro are well reproduced. Interference (noise or humming) can not be heard.
Despite the significantly higher-quality pre-amplifier combination (Naim Nac 122x + Nap 150x) on which I operate the phono preamplifier to the Fono has no weaknesses. The midrange is open, clear bass. He is certainly not a miracle resolution that would at the frontend (see above) inappropriate.
Playback is - matched standard on a good rhythmic representation as at Rega. It's fun vorzuholen the old rock records again and mitzuwippen.
Even in classical plates of small Fono shows its strengths in very good timing.
The DA conversion I have not tried.
Ps. It is made in England, no-East Asia Import. For the money a really good small "Music Machine"
