This allowed me to see a design flaw. For both models, it is the same design monitors, except that one model has more features. Thus we see the receiver unlit inlays monitoring of respiration, or the 4 small light spots on the issuer make sense in the case of AC401 but in this one, it never will one that lights up.
Basically, the designers have kept the exact same electronic model, renaming buttons and removing features, which can create some confusion for new buyer does not know the most complete model and seeing inactive features. As a bonus, however, the recharging cradle works on both models. As against the parent unit of the other model will not work with this transmitter.
Positives
Good transmitter, it activates the voice, not immediately, however, the child must make several consecutive noises so that it fires, but it is generally always the case when he cries or has a problem this avoids too many unnecessary trips.
A musical night light in his room does not trigger.
The temperature display is a definite bonus.
My daughter loves the pilot and it is enough for him not to be afraid in her room.
It is simple to load, you just have to put it on its stand, no need to remove and replace the batteries, and so he continues to work even while charging. We are never caught off guard.
Negative points
The parent unit is a little too bright, it lacks a feature to reduce its brightness. I am quite sensitive to any form of light in the room, so I am forced to turn toward the floor, under the bed, so it does not bother me.
The fact that it is the same design as its bigger brother model with more features is slightly disturbing, especially inlays features unusable with this model.
Another problem, unless enable a feature on the transmitter, the parent unit will not beep if it is out of range of the transmitter, or if the transmitter is switched off or unplugged ... We can believe the baby monitor switched on and completely wrong!
In conclusion, this is a very good baby monitor model, I would have just preferred a design that does not copy that of its big brother.
