The wire is detachably (even for transportation and replaceable Accidental section). It is covered with woven fabric to enhance its strength. The jack is right for the part that is connected to the headset and bent to the side that must be inserted into the device. Note that the jack unit side is 4 areas (can cause problems on older devices). The wire measuring 1,2m and has a small control near the headset with a button:
- Short press = play / pause
- Long press = triggering the microphone / call pickup
Note that this only works on iOS devices (damage ...).
Fairly light and comfortable helmet. The ears heat up a bit but not too bad (I've got to sleep with!).
In sound (finally!), The headset is fairly neutral (Philips announces its "clear"): no bass predominant! It differentiates well the different areas of the spectrum but this lack of detail in general (due to its closed structure?). The helmet is suitable for any type of music (jazz, classical, rock ...). Lovers of boom-boom can still play on the equalizer their device!
The microphone is correct: Siri understands what I asked him, even if the answers were rather fanciful (I'm nice ...).
There nonetheless has a defect that I find important: the air noise generated by the branches that hold the earbuds when walking, even at normal pace. This is enough to lose an entire star just for that!
In conclusion:
+ Sound good, fairly neutral, perfectly suited for music on the go
+ A very satisfactory comfort
+ Good manufacturing quality
+ A decent quality microphone
- A remote control reserved to the owners of ipod and iphone (microphone included)
- An air noise that can irritate
