This lamp is powered by a single 1.5V battery (LR6), this is what has guided my choice (cost to any a priori use). For the advertised power of 3 W, one might assume that the current consumption is 2A (P = V x I, therefore I = P / U). Which I admit is a lot for a small stack, and portends a reduced autonomy. Multimeter measurements performed: . with battery 1.5 V: 0.23 A 0.34 W and therefore instead of 3 W. . with battery 1.2 V 0.20 A and thus 0.24 W. Roughly 10 times less than the advertised power but it does not bother me, the brightness of this lamp is sufficient for my needs (and cubbyhole path plunged in darkness). And if we look at the positive side, the only required battery will last 10 times longer ... Note that all LED lamps "power" does not work with as little as 1,2 V voltage supplied by a battery . In short, power announced more than optimistic but satisfied with the product, which certainly is not a model of strength but that does not too "plastoc". I think for the price, this product deserves my four stars. But true fans of high light output, go your way ;-) Delivery side RAS 15 days between ordering and receiving Hong Kong.
