The Tamron is supplied with a light scattering of intent, which I thought was very good. My first impression of the Canon was huii but that's a whopper. Which of course should not be surprised with a range 18-270 mm. Very nice I found the focusing ring approximations for Distance offers of 0.49 m to infinity. What you miss in the Canon Kit 17-55 mm and the Canon Zoom 50-200 mm.
The image stabilization is deactivated. And in the 18 mm position can block the lens, so it does not accidentally extending when the Kamara transported with lens down.
The blockade described by a Vorrezensienten when the lens is steeply oriented downward, I can not determine. It is true, however, that there needs to be a little harder to overcome even with my lens with downwardly inclined positions during zoom back a position. Since this was already lighter after several attempts, I assume that the guides are something tight and the theme will do on its own. I also find it not so disturbing.
Very good I think the image stabilizer. For large focal lengths I have always had the problem of camera shake. Especially at shutter speeds below the focal length than the 200 I came from 1/150 sec quickly into the Verwackelungsbereich. The Tamron the image "freezes" in fact a murmur with quiet. I find that very class. Even the first steps with the optics in the exposure limits and using long focal lengths were very promising.
The focal length scope is enormous and I have so far not had any situation in which I would not have coped with the Tamron optics.
The image quality is in the range 18 - 55 mm better than the Canon kit lens. This is of course only my subjective perception and not substantiated by line testing me. But even in the telephoto range from 55 to 270 mm the Tamron strikes my Canaon 50 - but 200. This may be due to the anti-blur.
The autofocus works quietly and quite fast. Here the USM drive my Canon Teles is faster in comparison.
I found a bit strange: the 18mm range, the lens is quite retracted. Because of the weight of the optics, I tend to support the lens in the whole hand. Here I come quickly to the focus ring, the so must rotate freely in the AF mode. But I think that's not a question of the objective, but the hand position.
My Vorrezensenten have compared the imaging performance of the lenses. Since I can little to say, except that the fixed focal length is only physically for the zoom range at an advantage. But the halt Tamronoptik plays in a different league. A Variozoom is inevitably a compromise between handling, game rooms, changing lenses necessities, image quality, etc. This raises eigenlich only question is this compromise succeeded here or not.
A fixed focal length friend will never convince a compromise solution. For me, the Tamron is a Excelent compromise in an equally excellent price-performance ratio.
Still, I'm 18, the Canon - hold 55 mm kit lens continue in use, because it is much easier. But I think the standard lens will be the Tamron for me.
