I upgraded to Ubuntu and Sony became slick.
But it is true that it is quite complicated to install Ubuntu. Do this:
Download the disk image on the site ubuntu.com then decompress on a USB key.
Turn off the microphone, insert the USB key.
Relight using the button "assist" located on the top left of the keyboard
From the menu, choose "enter the BIOS" (F2)
Navigate with the arrow keys to allow the start of the key (enable external device and change the order of the boot with the F6 key, so that external device is first)
Make F10, micro restarts the key
Install Ubuntu following the instructions on the screen
Once installation is complete, turn off the computer and remove the USB drive
Restart with the "assist"
Go back to the BIOS (F2)
In "security", disable the "secure boot" and boot, turn off (disable) the external drive and boot to restore the boot order (internal hard drive) using F6.
From here, you enjoy the ease of use of Ubuntu: simple and clean interface, very fast setup user accounts (same Mac OS) and email accounts (much easier with Thunderbird on Mac or Windows ).
