Arehucas rum is made on Gran Canaria - the village Arehucas. One can see the barrels of rum and inspect the production there even. Each bottle is sealed after filling.
Taste / Smell:
The taste I find this rum very balanced, with a slightly sweet note of vanilla and floral odor. He is not too bitter or too spicy (that this is still is in view of the fact to a rum). The taste goes in the direction of El Dorado - rum, even if it is not quite as good. But he is also a bit cheaper.
Packing:
The bottle comes in a cardboard slabs that looks relatively high. The bottle is nicely decorated with a honeycomb structure, which makes them exceptional. A fine wine would be indeed like to see in a beautiful bottle.
Conclusion:
For rum experts it is a cheap alternative and a nice complement to the Rum Collection. For newcomers, it is suitable for its relatively mild flavor.
