This gives the following components or modules that must be put together.
1. Ceiling mount
2. Motor housing
3. remote module
4. Blades (4x)
5. Glaskuppel
6. lamps (type R7s J78 [maximum 100w])
7. Remote control
8 screws, washers, retaining rings etc.
Attaching the ceiling bracket designed easily as long as you know how to use hammers / machines and has so doing work before. At this point I would like to mention the plugs: The are not suitable for concrete floors and should be replaced accordingly. As an alternative I decided for the classical Fischer Plug SX muster far more than the required 15,9kg Capacity. The screws for fastening the cover plate I could use thanks to the flexibility of the anchor.
The assembly of the rotor blades is a little more tricky. The so-called "ornamental cover" which is freely available access to the threads with two screws locked one of which could not be solved with a normal screwdriver, because the head -. Was closed - probably as a result of a poorly controlled battery-operated screwdriver. Here, unfortunately, helped only the milling (eg with a Dremel) to remove a new slot to the screw. That's not so bad, but because you do not see this screw repairs and fixes are not what you would expect in a new way and not very favorable product.
Small note this: The leaves can be used to seided. Depending on your taste, you can either let show the silver side down or Anthracite.
The suspension of the engine nacelle is very simple, if one disregards the fact that the blades are in the way when hanging. You should attach but necessarily before mounting the motor, because otherwise the holes even worse is when one is already the case anyway.
When the remote control unit to connect (to the later I lose a few lines), you can actually make a mistake. The connectors are female / male and additionally gesichtert by a nose. Reverse polarity is therefore almost impossible.
The lamps - here a halogen rod tube with a R7s socket is used - is connected quickly. Here you should take the instructions with regard to the insertion of halogen lamps very seriously. The last thing the frosted glass dome that can be attached without Wegzeug by a quarter turn and off you go ...
or even because batteries (AA) are absent not. Without remote control, the device does not turn otherwise.
Which brings me to the actual function of the ceiling fan:
The fan has three speeds which are indicated with 70, 120 and 165 revolutions per minute. At Level 3 the perfumed approx 30dB. This is audible but for me due to the rather low frequency is not disturbing.
The lamp is dimmable, each key press is well regarded within one second as standard and uses a rocking only by prolonged interruption. In plain english: The longer you hold the button pressed, the brighter / darker it is in space.
Let us, however, the real damper on the points the product the highest rating:
1. Stripped screws can make impossible a U. Next Mounting &.. Then it's pack up everything and send it back. This error itself is basically already a half to a whole point, because the screw but is a not viewable point, I have the appropriate tools and could correct the error I rate this as a 1/4 point
2. The IF unit. It may whine be at a high level but it is bad that the IR sensor outside of the device on the ceiling thoughtfully must be adhered instead to somewhere installing these in the device, especially since you already better right could install the remote control unit, because so very little is space inside the cover. In my case, I had to remove the Westinghouseemblem, cut off the two mounting lugs and then attached again with all-purpose glue. In any case, this cover to ceiling plate is so closely dimensioned that it is a mystery to me how to do it without any tinkering.
These two points cost a total of a star.
Who was technically not born with two left hands is sure to accomplish the installation without any major problems. On the ceiling of Havana Deckenvenitalor makes the home Westinghouse a very good figure and in operation very little noise.
This fan I bought in the spring of 2014 and run through the summer months quasi continuous operation at level 2 or 3. So far show no quality problems.
Apart from the really fiddly installation I like this product very well. The fifth star, I regret to pull off due to the above reasons.
